David Maxon is appointed as IEEE/ICES Vice Chair.

David Maxson’s career has been one in which RF safety was a necessary piece of his body of work designing, building, maintaining and operating radio communications facilities in the broadcast, wireless and land mobile services. Mr. Maxson began RF safety assessment and planning in the mid 1980’s when the first regulations were adopted by the Federal Communications Commission in the USA. He is the author of a book on HD Radio technology, has written chapters for the NAB Engineering Handbook and has presented numerous papers on radio communications measurements and techniques. He has participated in standards-setting activities for the past 25 years.
